Under the agreed terms of a statement of advice provided by Bell Potter, Mr Tersteeg would continue to provide recommendations on shares to buy and sell, but all trades had to be ratified by Harry or Lesley.

The family alleged Mr Tersteeg continued to conduct share trades in the fund without Harry and Lesley's approval.

Bell Potter remains focused on maintaining the highest standards of financial advice to clients. Bell Potter refused to say why Mr Tersteeg left the company or whether it reported the matter to the Australian Securities and Investments Commission.
