Danny Dyer is finally back in the Square. The actor confirmed he needed to "sort his life out" as he took a month long break in South Africa and spent time with wife Jo Mas, and their children, daughters Dani and Sunnie, and son, Arty. His character Mick left the show after hearing that his daughter Nancy had been in a car accident, and his first scenes back are set to be just as explosive, as he quickly gets into a fight with Albert Square newbie Lee Ryan.

The former Blue singer, who is playing Queen Vic manager Woody in the BBC soap, recently revealed he and Danny have filmed some "great scenes" together, following his EastEnders arrival. Speaking on This Morning, he told Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford how excited he was to work with Danny - who plays his on-screen rival in the show. Lee's character Woody has been dubbed a "bad boy", but he insisted he's "a lot more sensitive" than he seems at first. He told Eamonn and Ruth: Fans reacted with joy to the news of Mick's return, tweeting, "Yippee.
